Call for Nominations - Network Researcher Election to the AUTO21 Board of Directors 2010-2011

2010-04-13 06:50:47

Deadline for nominations: April 23, 2010

Each year an AUTO21 Network Researcher is elected to the Board of Directors for a term of one year.

We are currently seeking nominations of researchers actively involved in the AUTO21 Network. (NOTE: Current and formerly elected researchers to the Board of Directors are eligible for nomination.) The Board of Directors meets three times per year in locations throughout Canada. The individual elected brings to the Board of Directors the perspectives of the researchers in the Network.

Project Leaders should discuss this opportunity with their research teams and identify individuals who hold a senior rank, have experience on a board of directors and are interested in allowing their name to stand for election.

Project Leaders should review the nominees from their project teams and discuss their nominations with their respective Theme Coordinator. The Theme Coordinators, acting as a nominating committee, will identify up to six candidates to run for the election. Final nominations, and a one-page bio and photo for each candidate, must be received by the AUTO21 Administrative Centre not later than April 23, 2010.

Please note that as per the rules of the NCE Secretariat, Theme Coordinators are not eligible to stand for election to the Board of Directors.

The election will be conducted electronically between May 10 and 21, 2010. The results of the election will be announced on June 8, 2010, and the elected researcher will be introduced to the general membership at the Annual General Meeting on October 26, 2010.
