Congratulations Dr. Jeff Wood
2009-12-15 10:26:04AUTO21 welcomes Dr. Jeff Wood as Researcher Representative on the Board of Directors. Dr. Wood won a tight election following voting by Network researchers.
Dr. Wood's term began on October 15 at the Annual General Meeting in Toronto, Ontario and will last for one year.
He replaces Dr. Brian Surgenor whose term ended October 15, 2009.
Dr. Wood has been the Project Leader for the AUTO21 Magnesium Casting Processes projects since the inception of the Network. Dedicated to his work, Dr. Wood hopes to provide insight to the Board regarding current research issues and initiatives, and ensure Network researchers are represented at the table.
"AUTO21 projects cover a vast spectrum of automotive research; from materials and manufacturing, to intelligent systems and safety prevention," said Dr. Wood. "Through AUTO21 funding and networking, researchers can work together towards developing a safer, more energy efficient automotive future."
