AUTO21 Goes East

With support from the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the Embassy of Canada, Tokyo, an AUTO21 delegation spent a whirlwind week visiting automotive companies and researchers in Japan.
The week-long trip took place in early November and included meetings with industry representatives and visits to Japanese universities to promote and raise awareness of R&D activities in Canada. The delegation also took part in the Eco-Clean Car Fair held in Nagoya. AUTO21 project leaders, Dr. Wai Tung Ng (University of Toronto) and Dr. Jerry Sokolowski (University of Windsor) provided research presentations at the fair.
In addition to Dr. Ng and Dr. Sokolowski, AUTO21 was represented by Dr. Peter Frise, scientific director and CEO, Ms. Michelle Watters, executive director, Dr. Pascal Hubert (McGill University), Dr. Ming Zheng (University of Windsor) and Dr. Xianguo Li (University of Waterloo).
